Plan Now for Home Heating Season

We’re still in full summer mode, but before you know it, it’s time for back to school sales and falling temperatures.

Filters: As always – maintain those filters! Change or clean them monthly. This is the simplest and cheapest way to help make sure your systems can operate properly.

Vents: Make sure your vents are clear of any blockages and allow for proper air flow.

Drafts: While the weather is warm, make sure to reduce drafts in your house and get them fixed. Re-caulking windows and replacing weather stripping is far more enjoyable now in summery temperatures, than on a 40-degree blustery fall day.

Check-up: Mark your calendar to schedule a regular maintenance check-up this early fall. By having an HVAC technician come out and inspect your system, give it a tune-up and make recommendations for repairs, you can be confident you will be ready for the winter ahead.

New System: If you know you are in the market for a new furnace, start planning now. Do your research, get your bids from reputable Minnesota furnace dealers, such as Carrier, and make your decisions now, before you actually need that new furnace.

Enjoy summer, but don't forget to plan ahead! It’s worth spending a little time taking care of these simple things before fall arrives, it’ll make maintaining comfort between seasons that much easier.CARRIER-1
